NORTHPORT | Katie R. Bolton Crawford, age 80, of Northport, died October 9, 2013, at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. today, October 11, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Chapel Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Crawford; father, Millard Bolton; mother, Pearlie Hyche Bolton; and brothers, J.M. Bolton and Belton Bolton.
Survivors include her sisters, Sadie Bolton Leonard and Maurine Bolton Price; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Katie was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was a graduate of Gorgas High School and worked as a truck driver with the Teamsters Union. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with friends and family.
Honorary pallbearers are ICU Unit of Northport Medical Center, Kelly Smith, Cami Sullivan, Michael Hall, Gail Calloway, Ann Davis, E.R. Dr. Albert Sterns, R.N. Adam Connell, Martha Stewart, members of Fellowship Baptist Church and all of her dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fellowship Baptist Church in Coker, Ala.
