Janet is survived by her sons Charles B. "Chuck" Carlisle and Bart J. Carlisle, of Tuscaloosa and her grandchildren Cameron Carlisle, Carson Carlisle, Baylee Carlisle, Bryan Carlisle all of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Tait Carlisle of Atlanta, Georgia, two great-grandchildren Mia Banks Carlisle and Cross Carlisle.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband Richard I Carlisle; her parents Charliewil Jordon and Beatrice Land Jordon and her brother, (Ret.USAF) Colonel Herbert Jordan.
The family will receive guests for Mrs. Carlisle on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM. The family will also receive guests for 30 minutes after the service.
Janet and her family moved to Fulton, Alabama where she attended school and graduated from Clarke County High School in Grove Hill, Alabama. She later attended Auburn University where she met and eventually married Richard I Carlisle on June 3rd 1956. Janet spent her early years of marriage as a homemaker, devoted wife and mother of two sons. As her son's entered High School, Janet returned to her College studies and eventually earned her degree. From there, she was employed by MacMillan Bloedel Lumber Company and eventually retired as Director of Human Resources. She could always be found attending sporting events and programs that featured any of her five grandchildren.
