I read somewhere, the journey of life wounds you, you have to adjust and walk with a limp sometimes. Life is beautiful, far more had you still been around. I’ve learnt to walk with a limp since you left us.  Save me a seat at your side brother.

Missing you today more than usual, was a tough Month remembering what time of the year it was all March long but kept you in my thoughts and travelled back a bit into memory lane 🙏🏾 .

Peter, your smile still shines when I think of you. You've been popping into my head here and there, and I'm always so thankful when you do. I feel so fortunate to have crossed paths with you, and  your legacy of goodness lives on in so many of us. 

I miss you, my friend. 

I think about you everyday since you’ve past on Peter .... my heart is broken ...so many of my friends are in heaven ...I never thought your time would be so soon....I can’t forget the good times ...or the bad...I wish I could see you again ...hug you one last time! I pray your wife and baby find solace in their times of need...because if I miss you ...I can’t imagine her pain! 

Too many memories to write here ... I past by your house today ... I could feel you there with me ...I love you brother I miss you down here more than you’ll ever know ...I can still hear your laugh ...I love you fam!  Happy birthday in heaven xoxoxoxox

He was and will always be the sweetest and most caring person I have met. I am very grateful to have had him as my mentor throughout my university years. I will never forget his genuine smile and bear hugs, his encouraging words when I didn’t know what to do and how to manage courses, his genuine love and care he showed to every person he met. Peter, you will be missed! I’ll do my best to make you proud. <3  

I was so eager to come and chat with Peter about my recent trip to Kitale and Mt. Elgon and ask him what he remembers of the area😊  complex and simple conversation with Peter were amazing!

Be at peace, Peter. Peter was my mentor and one of the kindest individuals I've ever had the privilege of knowing. Peter turned my 'impossible' dream of coming to this beautiful region of mountains, lakes, and ocean into a reality. I can't thank him enough for vouching for me as a transfer student from Miami to come to Vancouver to pursue my education. Peter always supported my goals and projects but also reminded me, at the right moments, to challenge myself or take on leadership roles. He helped so many students feel at home, regardless of whether they came from the U.S., Tanzania, Turkey, or Vietnam. It is beautiful to think of the impact that one human being can have on your life and the lives of many others. He had a contagious laugh and would never let anyone leave a conversation before giving them ten hugs first and then inviting them to join some committee or event with great lecturers and free food. It was always delightful to be in his presence. I ran into Peter on the bus just last week and was able to engage in one final conversation with him and see him smile. Peter, the UBC international student community will miss you, and you will always hold a place in our hearts. You have left a tremendous legacy <3 <3 <3
