Mary Helen Petroski, (nee Puchniak) passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family and caring friends at Sunrise Senior Living Facility, on Thursday January 31, 2019 at the age of 87.
Mary’s loving warmth will be missed by her children Jim (Carol), Gordon (Tammie) and Karen (Peter) along with her grandchildren Richard and Greg, Josh and Marina, David (Sarah) and great grandson Harrison. Mary is predeceased by her husband Harris (2003). Mary is the eldest of six and is survived by her brother Stan Puchniak (Darlene) and her sister Eleanor Hambly. Her brothers Edward, John and sister Patricia have predeceased her.
Mary had a passion for cooking and loved to travel. She is remembered as being welcoming, very interested and caring of others and was truly the “heart” of our family.
A celebration of life will be held at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. 6450 Deer Lake Ave., Burnaby B.C. room 103 starting at 1pm.
In leu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honour of Mary, to the Alzheimers Society of BC.
