Hansaim Liza Lee Goncalves

We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Liza, mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend on February 7th,2017 at the Lions Gate Hospital. She died peacefully surrounded and comforted by her immediate family after a multi-year hard fought battle with cancer.She was born in Seoul, Korea on Sept 7th. 1970 to Sang Koo and Jihyang Lee. She came to Vancouver with her family in 1989. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science(Honors) and a Certificate in Actuarial Mathematics. In addition to her academic achievements She had her extracurricular activities that she loved very much. She was a classical music lover who previously sang alto with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and loved to play both the piano and violin whenever she had freetime. She loved outdoor activities and in particular equestrian horseback riding. She excelled in the workplace working in the challenging Hi-Tech environment where she was most capable and earned the trust and respect of her peers and made many friends over the years. She was impressively intelligent and an awesome planner in both professional and private life. Liza lived a beautiful full life inspiring love and generosity in everyone who had the blessing of meeting her. Hansaim Liza will be lovingly remembered and honored by her husband, Joey, her beautiful children, Katie and Nicholas, her parents,SK and Jihyang, and her two brothers Yoon and Jeff.
