It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Ethel V. Rogers of Burnaby, 11 days after celebrating her 100th Birthday!! Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the Hurl family immigrated to Canada when Ethel was 9 yrs old, after making stops along the way, the West Coast would be home.
Ethel is survived by her son Bob of Burnaby, Colleen of New Westminster, sister Betty, cousin Noelle, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Laurence Charles (Charlie) 1992, brothers Bill and Jim and sister Molly.
We would like to thank the staff at Mulberry Park, Burnaby Hospital, Queens Park Hospital and especially Willingdon Care Centre in Burnaby during mum’s final days as she is finally at peace and pain free!
Donations to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation would be appreciated! A Memorial or Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
As mum would say “It’s A Long Way To Tipperary!!”
