Palm Beach Gardens, Florida – Linda Jane Cann Winblad, 83, passed on peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Born on March 7, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Jules and Eleonora Cann.
Linda is survived and tremendously missed by her devoted husband of 62 years, Ronald Winblad, and her beloved children: David Winblad, Kathryn Hope, and Amy Foderaro (husband Troy). She will forever be treasured by her five grandchildren: Hunter Hope (wife Erica), Summer Hope, Piper Hope, Hailey Foderaro, and Ryan Foderaro. Linda is also survived by her loving sister Judy Hasler (husband John), niece Susan Hasler Ryerson (husband John), nephew Steven Hasler (wife Shawn McIntosh), and sister-in-law Nancy Greig (husband Art).
Her journey with Ronald began with a chance meeting in a taxicab in 1961, an unexpected moment that blossomed into a lifetime of love. Their love story continued with their wedding on August 18, 1962. Together, they built a life of love and adventure, eventually settling on Singer Island, Florida, where they raised their family and lived for 50 years in a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.
Linda’s family meant everything to her, and it showed in everything she did. Her home was the center of it all, full of love, happiness, and good times. Whether it was for the holidays, a casual meal, or just a quick visit, her home was always warm and welcoming, making everyone feel like they belonged.
A private family service will be held on Thanksgiving Day. In her honor, her grandchildren will prepare and serve Linda’s favorite recipes, bringing back the memories that made her home so special. They will share stories about her, keeping her love for family and togetherness alive for generations to come.
Friends who would like to visit Ron and David to share stories and celebrate Linda’s memory are encouraged to reach out to Katie and Amy to make arrangements.
"Linda, my love, you were the heart of our family, and together, we raised three beautiful children who carry your warmth and grace and have five wonderful and loving grandchildren. I will carry you with me always, in every step, every memory, and in the love that lives on in all of us. Until we meet again. 22/62. Yours in memory, Ron”
