John J. McGuckin of Palm Beach Gardens, formerly of The Bronx and Yorktown Heights, NY, passed away on September 27, 2016 at the age of 85. John is survived by his loving wife, Josephine, of 59 years; son, Brian (MaryAnn) of Cos Cob, CT; daughters: Maureen of Palm Beach Gardens, Eileen of Scarsdale, NY and Patricia Griffin (Mike); three grandchildren Max, Josie, and Ben of Indiana. John is also survived by his sister, Peggy Lomba of Virginia and predeceased by his brother Matt and sister Anna Martin.
John served in the Korean War and honorably discharged as Staff Sgt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Cathedral on Thursday, October 13 at 10:00 AM followed by internment at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
