Eileen was born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 7, 1924. She was married to the love of her life, Edward Rapp during World War II. They got married on a military base in Biloxi, Mississippi, and honeymooned in New Orleans. They were separated when Ed was sent to the Pacific. Eileen gave birth to their first child Mike when Ed was still overseas. Eight more children quickly followed while they resided together in Detroit, and later, Fort Lauderdale. They were married for 50 Years.
Eileen loved being a Catholic Christian. She loved the Church, and she loved her children. Her Children brought a smile to her face and made her laugh. All of her nine children love to laugh and make each other laugh. That is her legacy.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Edward, and three grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Michael Rapp (Rita), Stephen Rapp (Diane), Joan Hurst, Christine Bernstein (Jack), James Rapp (Kathy), Mary Mohl (Allen), John Rapp (Candyce), Thomas Rapp, and Julie Gillenwaters (William), 22 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, at 11:00 in the morning on November the 4th.
