Angelo H. Lena

Angelo H. Lena, 68, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 26, 2019 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Angelo was born in Istanbul, Turkey, the son of Hristos Lena and Fani Dali, and emigrated to this country in 1967. On September 7, 1980, Angelo married his beloved wife Joanne (Hronopoulos) Lena, who emigrated from Greece. In 2009, Angelo and Joanne together started Sara's Kitchen in West Palm Beach, and later moved the family business to Palm Beach Gardens. Visiting with Angelo quickly became a favorite part of the Sara's Kitchen experience for loyal patrons of the restaurant. Family was at the heart of Angelo's life. A devoted father he was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by sons Chris (32) and Theodore (28), Chris' wife Danielle (Roberts) Lena, and grandsons Niko (2 1/2 ) and Mateo (6 weeks), to whom Angelo was endearingly referred to as "Papu". Angelo is also survived by his brother, Konstantinos Lena, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents. Viewing will be held the Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday, January 30th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Saint John Chrysostom Greek Orthodox Church of Martin County, 10605 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound, Florida at 11:00AM.
