CHERIN, Alan Lee (76) of Jupiter, Florida (born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) died on December 7, 2024. Alan was the son of the late Carl Cherin and late Miriam Marcus Cherin and is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Story Cherin (Jupiter) and his brother Steven Marc (Estelle) Cherin (Pittsburgh).
Alan was a graduate of Duquesne University in music. He was a member of Bear Lakes Golf Club of West Palm Beach.
Alan had careers in music, photography and computers. He is remembered for his love of history, golf, football, cooking and movies, and his passionate embrace of everything he did. Alan enjoyed travel with his family growing up and during his career in photography.
A perfect day for Alan was a round of golf, then preparing and enjoying a gourmet meal while watching an NFL game, followed by a classic movie with his wife Barbara. Alan had a sardonic sense of humor, which were on display in his two self-published cookbooks.
Interment will be private, with arrangements handled by Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice.
