Helen at the age of 18 caused quite a stir in 1943 when she became the first woman to work on the New York Stock Exchange for Merrill Lynch.
She moved on to a great modeling career with the Harry-Conover Agency. She then had a successful business venture in the restaurant business.
Helen fell in love and married in Allentown, PA and had two sons, Douglas and Wayne.
Eventually moving south to Miami Shores, Fl. to raise her two sons and be near her family.
A dear friend suggested Helen go into the residential real estate market…she loved it and became a long-time realtor.
Helen had many adventures touring the United States and Canada.
Her travels took her to Europe, the Middle East, the Orient and South America including all of the Caribbean.
She will be missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Douglas Dickerman and Wayne Grammes and his wife, Linda, and two grandchildren, Lindsay and Daniel.
She was a member of the Miami Shores County Club, Miami Women's Club, Friendly Villagers, Barry Auxiliary and Garden Club and Northeast Women's Club and Miami Children's Auxiliary.
