Florence Virginia Miller was born on Tuesday, August 21, 1923 in Oslo, FL to George and Hilda Wells. She faced the Depression of the 1930s. She went through the times of "Colored Only" signs that we read about in the history books. She lived through 9 decades! Florence loved B.B King, sweets, and her teams: the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Heat. She was a fantastic cook, even though she thought she couldn't cook. She was the go to seamstress. Florence was a woman that defined strength and perseverance. Florence held on even when the odds were against her. Florence was a superhero without a cape. As she entered immortality, Florence is survived by: her three children: Albert, Lauretta "Peaches", and Cheryl, niece Lavon and nephew Triandos, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and countless family friends.
