William "Bill" Dwane Brewer

Bill was born on September 4, 1935 to Audie K. Brewer and Laura Elizabeth Brinley Brewer. After graduating from Humboldt High School, he received a business degree from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway AR in 1960.

Following his education Bill spent the next 50+ years in the insurance and financial services industry. He had a tremendous sense of duty to bring integrity and professionalism to his work and his many clients. He became their friend and advisor and his customers remained loyal to him for generations.

Bill served in the United States Air Force in the 1960’s and was also in active duty for part of that time. He was the Lions Club International President from 1981 to 1982, the recipient of the American General Life Million Dollar Roundtable for several years, and also received the AGL Award for 50 years of service. Bill was also a Mason in the Grand Lodge of Arkansas in the 80’s.

Personally, Bill loved to dance and attended the Bop Club with his wife CC, which is where they met. Six months later, in 2010, he bought a home in Germantown and then they were married. Bill was also very active in Carnival Memphis, with the Grand Krewe of Luxor where he was a Flagman in 2012 and served as Duke in both 2013 and 2018. Bill very much enjoyed his many friends in Luxor.

Bill loved playing cards and most of all he loved his Arkansas Razorbacks and to those who knew him well, Bill loved to recall his youth in Arkansas and his many unique childhood experiences. He always dressed impeccably and was what we would call a “fashionista”.

Bill leaves behind his beloved wife, Beatriz “CC” Brewer and his sisters, Bettye Stanley and Audrey Jean Boyles and his brother James Donald Brewer. Although he never had children, he truly loved his wife’s daughters Kelly Lindsey and April Andress, and their families.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Rest Hills Cemetery located at 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock AR 72117.
