Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Winnie Campbell, and his devoted second wife of 39 years Shirley Campbell.
Wayne is survived by his sons Larry Campbell and his wife Debbie, Gerald Campbell and his wife Julie of North Little Rock and a daughter Belinda Gentry and her husband Perry of Little Rock.
Grandchildren Jason Campbell and his wife Gija of Magnolia, Daniel Campbell and Jacob Campbell of North Little Rock, Natalie Brock and her husband Turner of Grand Prairie, Kansas. Lindsey Andrews and her husband Elliot of Batesville, Lauren Trantham and Justin Bromley of Cabot.
Great-grandchildren Dexter and Kristopher Campbell, Henry, Hudson, Hayden and Hatcher Andrews, Kay Lottner, and he was eagerly awaiting the arrival of another great granddaughter, Kelley Bromley in November.
He also leaves to cherish his memory his extended family Richard Brown; Cindy Brown and Darrelyn Money; grandchildren: Tara Bartsch and Joey, Tianna House and Brandon, Daniel Brown and Kate, Ryan Brown, and Essam Brown; great-grandchildren: Lorelei and Hendrix Bartsch, Troy, and Peyton House
Two nephews Jim Mills and Lee Harvey along with his104 year old aunt, Ruby Buffalo of Southlake, TX also survive Wayne.
Wayne was born to Kelley and Beatrice Campbell on August 17, 1933, in Hamilton, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Katherine Mills.
Wayne went to trade school and joined the Sheet Metal Union Local 36 of which he as a member of for over 50 years and at one time served as superintendent. In 1978 he founded Campbell Sheet Metal, where he proudly worked with his children.
Wayne married Winnie in 1953 and they were married 28 years. They worked hard and provided the wonderful foundation of a Christian home for their three children. After Winnie’s death in 1981, he met Shirley, and they were married over 39 years until her death in February of this year. Wayne and Shirley enjoyed traveling and were devoted grandparents and great grandparents.
Wayne was a member of Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years (formerly North Little Rock First Church of the Nazarene), where he taught Sunday school and served on the Church Board.
Wayne was a Godly man who loved his family. He was an involved father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Working with his family was his joy in life and he took pride in providing for his family and helping those in need. He was always interested in how his grandchildren were doing in school and encouraged their education.
