His education was completed in the Little Rock School District of Pulaski County. He worked as a city bus driver for Central Arkansas Transit Authority, and served his faithful duty in the Vietnam War. His family life was filled with the attention of true loving care for each person and “Buddy” his dog. He held a special love for the gospel and his church family.
Predeceased are his mother, Lillian Bolden Swiney; father, Robert Meeks; brother, Stanley Allmon; son, Isaac Meeks. Loving memories remain with his wife, Eloice Meeks; daughters, Tammy Meeks of North Little Rock, AR., Mona Meeks of Little Rock, AR., Cynthia Meeks of Allen, TX., Tanya Tripplett (Eskerge) of Jacksonville, AR. and a host of grands and great-grands. A very special thanks to the Veteran Affairs- VA Hospitals in Little Rock and North Little Rock, AR. and the loyal service of Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills.
A funeral service for Robert will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117. Following the funeral service will be a committal service with honors at 12:00 PM at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Ave., North Little Rock, AR 72120.
