Mary was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina to Arthur & Joyce Mastin on March 3, 1926. Mary rejoins her siblings Carrie Sturdivant, Marie Bowers, Jack Mastin, Weaver Mastin, L.P. Mastin and Robert Mastin. She leaves behind her last sister, Nellie Gregory; her two sons, Mickey (Lee) Reed, and Charley (Paula) Reed; 3 grandchildren – Misty (Chris) Bailey, Emily (Colton) Morgan, and Grant Reed; and 5 great-grandchildren - Ocie Bailey, Atlas Bailey, Elliott Bailey, Brady Morgan & Pippa Morgan. She loved the Lord and she loved her family. In Arkansas, she was a baptized member of First Baptist Church of Gravel Ridge. At FBCGR, she was a member of FBCGR Dollmakers and a dedicated prayer warrior for those the Lord put on her heart.
Mary managed her rental property business with God’s help and protection for over 30 years. She was dedicated to raising and providing for her two sons. Mary understood that everything in her life belonged to and came from God. She tried to be a good steward of everything that came her way. Mary ultimately understood that this world was only her temporary home and often spoke of her not being “here” much longer. She made it clear that she was at peace and ready to truly go Home to be with her Heavenly Father and her family who had gone on before her.
Mary was the best mother she could be to her two boys. Her wisdom and presence will be missed, but the boys carry her with them in their hearts, right where she would want to be.
