Mary Frances Chambers Kolb passed away on March 23, 2025. She was born August 5, 1935, in DeWitt, Arkansas to Frances and Joe Frank Chambers. After graduation from DeWitt High School, she attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, majoring in nursing. She was a member of the Student Senate, the Inter-Fraternal Council, and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
After two years at the U of A, she transferred to UAMS where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She received the highest score in the state on that year's nursing examination.
She spent 26 years at UAMS as a nursing department Staff Development Instructor.
After retirement, she enjoyed babysitting her adorable grandchildren, playing bridge in a host of clubs, and going on cruises with her friends.
Family members preceding her in death include her son Jimmy, her parents, her brother Joe, and granddaughters Katherine and Reese. She is survived by sons David (Cindy) and Joe (Cindy), and five beautiful grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, Mason, Caroline, and Emily.
At her request, no funeral service is planned. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to your favorite charity.
