Leah Ann Goodwin was born in Memphis on November 21, 1963. She passed away on Thursday, June 10th at her home in North Little Rock. At an early age, Leah Ann married Gary Goodwin and they had two children, Holly and Hunter. She eventually partnered with Ron Sanders. Leah Ann and Ron have been married for almost 20 years.
Leah Ann is survived by her husband, Ron; daughter, Holly Brooks; son, Hunter Goodwin and his wife Stephanie; sister, Sherry Kitler; brother, Kenny Robinson and his husband Dr. Archie Jao; grandchildren Evan Pate, Saven Brooks, Oliver Brooks, Jaxon Glass, and Ren Goodwin; and many loving friends and family members.
Leah Ann was beautiful and charismatic. She had a wicked sense of humor. She would light up a room and keep everyone smiling and laughing. She also, like her mother, was one of the kindest and most loving people that you could ever hope to meet. Leah Ann never met a stranger, sometimes to the chagrin of her brother Kenny on the crowded streets of Manhattan.
Leah Ann had a giving spirit. She was a dedicated volunteer at Lakewood Nursing home, where they loved her dearly and she made deep, lasting relationships. She kept extra socks, water, and gloves in her car and would stop and give them to indigent people on the street. She loved yoga, was crazy about dogs, and was the best Yaya in the world to her grandchildren.
Those that love her are in shock and cannot believe that she is gone. She was our precious baby girl. We don’t know what we are going to do without her.
