Joetta Jackson was born in St. Louis on June 29, 1951 to Carrol and Joan Gaither. The oldest of three children, she grew up in North Little Rock with her brothers Shelby Ray Gaither (Mary) and John Edmon Gaither (Lela).
In 1970, Joetta married her husband of fifty-one years, Keith Jackson. They have two children, Shelley Dawn Moore (Brett) and Bradley Keith Jackson, and two grandchildren, Jordan Jackson Moore and Callie Dawn Moore.
Joetta loved spending time at their house on Greers Ferry Lake, reading and leading a weekly Bible Study at Calvary Baptist Church in Benton. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to the annual War Eagle craft fair, Florida beaches, London and Southern California.
Joetta thought of others before herself. She was always looking for ways to bring joy to her family and friends. She would drop everything to provide support and love to her children and grandchildren, for which they are eternally grateful.
Joetta’s life will be celebrated at an outdoor, graveside service on Monday, November 1 at 10am at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR. Memorials may be made in Joetta’s memory to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Online guest book at www.griffinleggettresthills.com
