Jerry Miller

Jerry Miller, 82, of Cabot, AR, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 14, 2024. He was born on October 8, 1941, to Walter Bob Miller and Lois Monteen Simms in Cotton Plant, AR. Jerry was of Baptist faith and attended his local church.

A graduate of Jacksonville High School, Jerry was a standout running back for the football team. He was a Mason and a faithful member of the Jacksonville Sertoma Club. Passionate about youth sports, he coached the Blue Angels Football Team in Jacksonville, AR. Jerry was very involve with the Sertoma Little League Football. Actively participated in his community, volunteering with many organizations. He was a huge AR Razorback fan, and traveled to many games. Jerry also served as a Director for the production of several Miss Jacksonville Pageants. In his later years, he enjoyed watching television.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Misty Michelle Miller; and his sister, Jan Miller.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Miller of Cabot, AR; his son, Glen David Miller of California; his nephew, Dalin (Connie) Kinman of Beebe, AR; his sister, Linda (Jim) O’Connell of Dallas, TX; his stepdaughter, Tara (Mark) Smith of North Little Rock, AR; his sister-in-law, Terri, and her husband Joe Moore (best friend and football buddy of Jerry); and his beloved dog, Molly.

A visitation will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR, 72117. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Jerry will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
