He was born March 31, 1948, in Kansas to Marvin and Doris Howard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Linda Howard.
Mr. Howard served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 23 years. He also retired from the Pulaski County School District as a school bus mechanic.
Mr. Howard was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.
He is survived by his wife Joan Howard; his twin sons, David Howard and wife Lori, and Chris Howard and wife Kelly; daughter Arlene Castleberry and husband Robbie; step-daughter Amandia Acebedo and husband Jim; three brothers, Bill, Danny, and Clifford; four sisters, Sue, Bonnie, Ann, and Jill; and by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Rest Hills Memorial Park gazebo. Burial will be in Texas.
