Ms. Barbara (Bobbie – Jean) Berry was born September 2, 1937, in the small town of Altus, Oklahoma to Frank and Willie Mae Turner. She was the youngest of nine children. After accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior, she became an active member in her church; always committing herself to God’s will and devoting countless hours into studying his word. She was a dedicated wife, a loving mother and a friend to all. Always feeling the need to serve, she retired from the State of Arkansas and went on to volunteer at St. Vincent’s Hospital. She then sought employment with JCPenny where she also retired, taking time to continue enjoying one of her greatest hobbies, traveling. Barbara left to be with her Lord and Savior November 3rd, 2016, but continues her legacy through her two daughters, Patricia and Sharon Berry of Little Rock, AR., her brother Ezell Turner of SC., two Granddaughters, Nicole DeRoche of Clinton, ME., and Shayla Chew of Little Rock, AR., two Grandsons – Clay Humphrey Jr. of Manchester, NH and Aaron Butler of Little Rock, AR and her Great Grandson, Blaze Butler of Little Rock, AR Family Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13th at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, AR. A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 14th in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home with burial at the Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Springer Blvd, Little Rock, AR 72206. Pallbearers are: Clifford Chew, Clay Humphrey, Clay Humphrey Jr., Aaron Butler, Dale Turner, and Nicholas Turner.
