

Steven Kent Reznitsky passed unexpectedly on April 21st, 2025 and has joined his parents, Louis and Mary Reznitsky and his Uncle Robert Rubinson, in eternity. Steve was just a week shy of his 74th birthday. He was married to Marla for 50 years.
Steve is survived by his wife Marla, his daughter Lauren Scavullo, son-in-law Craig, grandsons Vincent and Louis, niece Meagan Halpern, her spouse Simon and great nephews Ethan and Nolan, niece Erika Tyler, her spouse Michael and great niece Amelia and great nephew Asher, niece Heather Gatzke and nephew Trevor Gatzke and Uncle Herbert Stahl.

Steve graduated from Albany University and went to work as an auditor for the IRS. He retired after 33 years as Manager of the Large Case Group and Fraud Division in NY. He was also very involved in his community as an HOA Officer, a YMCA Board Member, and was instrumental in starting after school daycare programs in his local school district.
Steve enjoyed playing golf, taking part in the lake life in NY and community life in FL, supporting the arts, playing cards, being with his family and traveling. He and Marla have visited Italy, China, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and have gone across the US in an RV to visit numerous National Parks and Monuments along the way. He will be remembered by his friends and family as a thoughtful, witty, kind and supportive man. He will be missed by many.
On Wednesday, April 23 at 2:45pm, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel located at 7710 Bailey Rd., North Lauderdale, FL 33068. From 6pm-8pm that evening, there will be a reception and Shiva at The Falls of Parkland Clubhouse at 7200 Knight St, Parkland FL 33067.
Steve was a kidney transplant recipient from his wife Marla. The family requests that any donations be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org
