Robby was born in 1967 and grew up in Dumont, New Jersey. In 1980, Robby moved with his family to Ft. Lauderdale, eventually graduating from the University of South Florida (USF) in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
Robby then entered the family business, working side by side with his father at Sunbelt Interplex in Tamarac, FL where he started sweeping the floors at 8 years old, working full time in various positions after college and continuing in roles of increasing responsibility until he became President of the company, departing in 2018. Robby then launched a consulting practice specializing in manufacturer’s representation of custom precision metal and plastic supply chain solutions.
Robby met the love of his life, Stacy and started dating in May 1990. They got married in 1994 at Inverrary Country Club and settled in Plantation, FL. They have two children, Sarah (25) and Adam (24). Family was the most important thing to Robby and he enjoyed nothing more than family BBQs with his large extended family and friends. He enjoyed playing Rummikub and Sequence with Stacy, Sarah and Adam, riding his bicycle, swimming in his backyard, taking Ella to the dog park, weekend yard work and more recently disc golf and pickle ball. Robby was extremely excited for the arrival of his first grandchild in October.
Robby was a lover of sports, particularly the Yankees, NY Giants and the USF Bulls and enjoyed fantasy baseball with friends and family, as well as collecting baseball cards.
He was an avid reader who enjoyed a trip to the library, the smell of a good book, wandering around museums for hours on end, and watching history documentaries.
No one was a stranger to Robby. He spoke to everyone and made friends everywhere, always joking, stopping strangers to pet their dogs and enjoyed making new connections. His friends and family will remember the epic annual Key West trips, the yearly cruises, trips to Marco Island, his love of the band Styx, and his mild obsession with Bruce Springsteen (attending many concerts).
Robert is survived by his wife Stacy, daughter Sarah (Stuart), son Adam, brothers Greg (Lena) and Wayne (Leah), parents Marlene and Bernie, mother-in-law Renah, father-in-law George (Sydelle), the family dogs, Ella and Maddie and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
