Juan, I want to use this time to speak to you as if you were here because that’s how it feels right now.

It feels like you’re here with us telling us how much you wanted to be here

Laughing with us

Crying with us

For you.

Your physical body might not be here today.

But you, Juan, your soul will forever live in us.

Even though it’s hard to let you go and understand why God took you to be with Him.

I’m beginning to see that your purpose was to bring healing to us even when we didn’t know how to bring healing to you.

You were the person that everyone can agree brought light to the room.

Always making everyone laugh.

Even when we would try to have a “serious” conversation with you.

You couldn’t help but crack a joke and make us laugh.

Your smile just radiated from deep inside your soul and I don’t think you even realized that because that was your gift to us.

So, Juan, thank you for bringing so much light to our lives.

Thank you for trying to be the best person you could be.

And I’m sorry that we failed you even though I know you thought it was all on you, the burdens you were facing were greater than anyone could handle.

So thank you for being the one in the family to take those burdens on so we wouldn’t have to.

I want you to know how proud we are of you for giving it your all and I wish it was something we would have said much more in person.

We are so grateful that you left us a little part of you in Olivia and Sebastian because when we look at them, we see you.

We see your heart in them.

We see your smile in them.

We see your love in them.

We see your joy in them.

And, we see your image in them, helping us connect to you through them.

Juan Reyes, we love you.

You left us too soon, but you will forever remain in our hearts and our most joyful memories.

You will be missed as a son, cousin, grandson, nephew, friend and dad.

Thank you for being a part of our lives.

We promise to keep your soul alive for your 2 beautiful kids and maybe someday your grandkids.

A visitation/velorio for Juan will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606.
