Ruth Helen Whitney Greve Dillow, 98 of Fort Myers, Florida passed away June 14, 2017. Ruth was born April 9, 1919 in Decatur, Illinois to Robert and Effie Miller Whitney. She married Charles (Bus) Dillow in 1975. She worked as an expediter for Mississippi Valley Structural Steel Company. Retiring after 30 years she moved to Venice, Florida, then Cape Coral, Florida, then Fort Myers, Florida. She loved bowling, crocheting, playing games, especially bingo, and was an avid reader. She did volunteer work at her church, the DMV, political campaigns, and the Senior Friendship Center. She was also a senior companion. Surviving are her son David (Priscilla) Greve, Punta Gorda, Florida, Daughters Donna Palmer, Cape Coral, Florida, Judy (Earl) Cox, Fort Myers, Florida, 11 Grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 30 great great grandchildren. Several Nephews and Nieces. Predeceased by her husband, Father, Mother, Brothers Al, George, and Robert, sisters Amuriel and twin Beatrice and 1 great granddaughter. Memorial Service Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 2 PM at Fort Myers Rehab and Nursing Center, 7173 Cypress Drive, Fort Myers, Florida. Donations to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, Florida 33980. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to the National Cremation and Burial Society.
