Tom was called “Sonny” by most of the family members. We believe his grandmother, Allie Dillon Jameson, gave him that nickname. He stayed with her from the time he was about five years old until he and Alice “Granny” Bright married in 1954.
He lived life to the fullest. He always had a smile and never met a stranger. Always looked forward to lunch on Saturdays with his car friends. He worked in the grocery business, Kroger, Colonial Stores, Big Star for many years. In 1980, he opened Jameson’s Red and White in Charleston, SC. Tom enjoyed traveling, cruises, antique and classic cars. He was a NASCAR and Rivers Dog fan. Tom belonged to the Police Reserve Charlotte, NC, Scottish Rite and Elks Lodge.
