Rose Marie Griffin Smith

Rose was born on July 10, 1938 in Orangeburg, SC. Her parents were the late William Raymond Griffin and Katie Virginia Thomas. After graduation from North Charleston High school, Rose worked for Southern Bell, was a homemaker, a real estate agent, and an active member of Riverbluff Church (Midland Park Baptist) for 55 years.

She is survived by her son, Dewayne Ronald Smith and his wife Debbie; her daughter, Denise Smith Humphrey; six grandchildren, Jordan Norvell (Braxton), Nathan Smith (Davis), Hannah Melton (Caleb), Lexi Humphrey, Kylie Humphrey and Haylie Humphrey, one Great Grandson, Hollis Stone Norvell. Rose is also survived by sisters Roberta Eby (Wesley), Rhona Bartram, Rebecca Millwater (Lawrence) and many nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her Husband Ronald Smith, a brother, Raymond James Griffin and a sister Ramona Eade.

Rose will be remembered as a faithful Christian worker, a loving wife, mom, Grandma, and GiGi.

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Smith are invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Carolina Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Funeral service will follow from 2:30 to 3:30 pm and the Burial at Carolina Memorial Gardens will follow.
