Robert was an ironworker by trade and was proud that he was one of the last twenty to work to complete the Ravenel Bridge. He lived his life as a dedicated member of a Twelve Steps Program, and over the years, he helped many people become committed to the program. His favorite way of giving back to the community was by volunteering at the food bank at Calvary Church of the Nazarene.
Robert will be missed by his family, many friends, and by all those whose lives he touched.
Robert is survived by his wife, Colleen Brennan Baxter, of thirty-two years and their children, Brennan Herbert and Houston Baxter, all of Goose Creek. And, from his first marriage, he is survived by his children, Hillary Bowers (Jack); Lincoln Mishoe (Lisa); Tessa Baxter; and MaryAlice Mamarial (Marvin). His two sisters, Barbara Baxter and Suzi Baldwin (Leon).
Robert is also survived by his grandchildren, Phoebe, Korbin, Julian, Gracie, Lucas, Makayla, and Skyla along with two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Robert l. and Mary Rose Baxter and a sister, Patti Farr (Deryl), of Goose Creek.
Relatives and friends are invited to the family visitation at 1:00 p.m. followed with a service at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 541 Red Bank Road, Goose Creek, SC.
