Marie L Flegle

Marie was born in Massachusetts where she married Don Flegle. Don was a member the US Navy and they lived in several ports of call. In 1962 finally settling in Hanahan, SC, they continued to raise their family. Active in her church, Divine Redeemer and later New Covenant, where she served behind the scenes in many areas. She was a devoted follower of Jesus. She loved Bible Studies, sewing, baking, crocheting, gardening, games and puzzles. Marie’s children and her many descendants are spread across the country. Many have served in the Military; others among her family are educators, social workers, medical professionals and ministry leaders. Her life has impacted our world and her hope was always in the coming kingdom of Christ.

Marie is survived by: her children; Wayne Flegle (Susan) of Knoxville, TN, Paula Johnston of Kingsland, GA, Karen Motiska (Tom) of Scranton, PA, Carl Flegle (Angie) of Summerville, SC, Mary Campbell (Marc) of North Charleston, SC, Carol Thomas (Chris) of Summerville, SC, Yvonne Mitchum (Don) of Prosperity, SC, David Flegle (Laree) of Summerville, SC. Also by 25 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.

Marie is proceeded in death by: her parents; her husband, Donald Flegle; her daughters: Donna and Kathy; and her son, Peter.

Marie will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at a later date.
