Lucille Ouida Wilson

Lucy was born in Baxley, Georgia on June 22, 1935. She was the eldest daughter of 10 children born to John and Cora Cowart.

Lucy is survived by her sons Mark Wilson (Michelle) and Jeff Wilson (Catherine); grandchildren Gillian Wilson and Troy Wilson (Sarah); siblings Wanda Sadler, Eleanor Hazel, Betty Ross, Ann Cowart, Ricky Cowart and Bobby Cowart. Lucy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Lucy was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Donald Wilson; her parents John and Cora Cowart and brothers John Cowart, Mack Cowart and Ted Cowart.

Lucy was a loving mother, homemaker and grandmother. She was member of North Charleston Primitive Baptist Church. Lucy was a remarkable cook and loved preparing meals for her family and her extended church family. For many years leading to her passing, she enjoyed gardening, bowling and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Lucy will always be remembered as a sweet, gracious lady who was always willing to help anyone in need. Lucy especially loved her grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Celebration of Life will be follow from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
