was born on November 16, 1946, to John and Ruth Bernero in Chicago, IL. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Carlson, brother John Bernero, sister-in-law Kristen Bernero, brother-in-law Jerry Sinn, nephew Gregory Sinn with his wife Cindy and niece Jana Sinn. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Ruth Bernero and sister-in-law Marilyn Sinn.
Laura married her longtime friend and love Ken Carlson in October of 1967. She received her Masters
Degree in Nursing from Northern Illinois University and spent her entire career in the medical field
Including a time as a Critical Care Nurse.
She loved being with her horse Hank, her two dogs Rogue and Sam and most importantly, sailing with her husband in their sailboat along the east coast.
At Laura’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service.
