Jack Patrick, age 90, entered Heaven’s gates on December 6, 2023 and was joyfully reunited with his beloved wife, Jean. Jack was born on November 10, 1933 in Greenfield, TN. As a child he grew up on the farm working in the fields alongside his mother.
In Jack’s primary years he attended a one-room schoolhouse led by teacher Miss Bonnie. He graduated from Greenfield High School, then he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. While serving, he was an elite member of a top secret and highly classified mission in Alaska. Jack was a devoted member of Smyrna United Methodist Church, and a Mason with lodge #375. Jack married the love of his life on June 15, 1957 and they were wonderful parents to two daughters.
Jack is survived by his daughters Sandra White (Ron) and Jackie Jones (John); his grandchildren Brandon Jones (Kasey), Amber Buchheit (Andrew), and Melanie Rolle (Walter); his honorary granddaughter Cindy
Potts; his great grandchildren Parker, Luke, Addison, Sadie, Charlie, and Everly; and his nephew Tommy Patrick (Belinda).
Jack is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years Jean Patrick; his parents William Patrick and Kate Leyhue Patrick; and his siblings Lray Patrick and TJ Patrick (Jerry).
Jack retired from Westvaco in 1998 after a 40-year career. For many years he also owned and operated Pat’s Door Service and held accounts with all of the local carpet companies. He truly enjoyed listening to country music and Elvis songs. Later in life when he had more free time he enjoyed driving cars for Century Buick and Dick Smith Chevrolet. In his free time loved being a dare devil and waterskiing, driving fast in his F150, going on roller coasters, waterslides, and zip lines. He even went skydiving for his 80th birthday. He loved watching his children and grandchildren grow up, and spending time in the mountains with his wife Jean. Jack was a true southern gentleman
who was generous and lived his life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed and forever loved by those who knew him.
A visitation for Jack will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday December 9, 2023 at 10:00am followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Gardens immediately afterwards. 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
