David Anthony Tallent

David Anthony Tallent of Charleston died on February 29, 2024. Born July 10, 1967 in Marquette, Michigan to Shirley Edmonds Tallent and Howard Lee Tallent. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lillie Mae Price Edmonds and Geter Pritchard Edmonds, Leroy Talent and Sarah Lail Talent, and his father, Howard Lee Talent, Life partner Christopher Bret Lawson.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Shirley Edmonds Tallent, brother Geter Dale Tallent, brother Ronald Lee (Sheree) Tallent, niece Amber Joy (Jamaal) Goss, nephew Geter Dale Tallent II, niece Dr. Cyndi Lee (James) Fields, great-niece Britney Tallent, great-nephews Nathaniel Tallent, Jaeden Profit, Beau and Jackson Lawton.

David was a jack of all trades with a green thumb. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of life and his willingness to help anyone at any time. His many friends will attest to his cooking skills and his hospitality.

A visitation at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home for David will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel will occur Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 3:00 PM. The burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens
