Brian Scott Cooper Brian Scott Cooper passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 10, 2016, which was his 45th birthday. Brian was born on March 10, 1971 in Charleston, S. C. and graduated from Middleton High School. He worked in his family business at Tri-County Ice & Fuel Company until it was sold, then became self-employed. Brian had many friends that he loved and enjoyed his life with. He was a true & loving family man and was extremely close to his niece and nephews and loved them dearly. Even though they had their ups and downs, he cherished his time with his brother. Brian never wanted to venture far from home, wanting to be near his mother and missing his father terribly. Friends and family both loved Brian’s witty personality, his unending humor, and his caring heart. He did not hesitate to help where help was needed and was always there for his family and friends, making it a point to visit his grandmothers often, whom he loved very much. Brian was an avid sports fan and enjoyed walking and running. He ran many races and half-marathons and especially loved boxing, baseball and football. Brian is survived by his mother, Janet Mangum Cooper-Tanner and step-father, Sam Tanner of Moncks Corner, S. C., brother Keenan L. Cooper (Kris) of Orange Park, Florida; nephews Jordan Cooper and Riley Cooper of Summerville, S. C., Cade Cooper of Orange Park, Florida, niece Morgan Cooper of Summerville, S. C., stepbrothers Donald Tanner of Johns Island, S. C., and Michael Tanner (Deirdre) and step-niece Clark of Charleston, S. C. Brian is also survived by his Ma-Ma Catherine Cooper and grandma Ruby Mangum, both of Summerville, S. C., as well as many beloved aunts, uncles & cousins. He is pre-deceased by his father Billy Cooper III, his Pa-Pa Bill Cooper, Jr. and his granddaddy Ed Mangum, Sr. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday, March 13th at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
