He was born April 23,1947 in Florence, AL to James Monroe and Bessie Hunt Brazier. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy right after graduating from Ripley High School, TN.
Gene is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha “Marty” Langston, his son Allen II (Mary), Grandchildren: Dex Phillips (Mandy), Kaylin Rucker (C.J), and Alyssa Brazier. Two Great grands: Colby Mercer and Autry Phillips.
He is predeceased by his six siblings: James“Bud”, Earl, Richard, AlmaLee, Pauline and Earline.
Gene is a retired U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a deeply patriotic man, and above all, a loving family man.
A Visitation will be held on Friday December 20,2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. The Celebration of Life Service will follow from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the Chapel. The Burial, with military honors, will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
