Alfred Hardee

Alfred Hardee, 87, of Ladson, entered into eternal rest Friday December 25, 2015. The relatives and friends of Mr. Alfred Hardee are invited to attend his funeral services on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 1 pm at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home. Alfred was born March 20, 1928 in Conway, SC, a son of the late Ashley Hardee and Ida Hughes Hardee. He enjoyed tending to his garden and grapevines, spending time with family, attending auctions, oyster roasts, NASCAR, visiting the country and rocking on his front porch. He was a hard-working man with an entrepreneurial touch. He applied those skills to businesses he owned in the construction field, house moving business and farming. Alfred is survived by 3 daughters, Carol Smith (Gilbert) of Johns Island, SC; Marti DeMagistris of Lincoln, Rhode Island; Kathy Nelson (Paul) of Pinopolis, SC and 2 sons, Ricky Hardee (Belia) of Knightsville, SC and Marshall Hardee (Debi) of Ladson, SC; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; countless nieces, nephews, cousins; 2 sisters, Geraldine Stubblefield of Dallas, TX; Vernaree Stegall of Darlington, SC and 1 brother, Bill Hardee (JoAnn) of Gastonia, NC. Alfred is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Hardee, a daughter, Judy Cox (Curt) of Ladson, SC; 2 grandchildren and 3 siblings.
