Katie Mary Moccasin

Katie is survived by her children Dallas, Alphonse (Kyla), Texan (Amanda), Misty, Daine, Dolphus (Heather), Miranda, Olivia (Randy), Herbie (Samantha), Charlotte, Charlene and Gerald; her best friend Honey, her in-laws Stanley, Doris, Brady, Amy (Leo), Dennis (Dorothy), Gary, Christine and Allen; her special niece Sylvia ”Bird Head” Awasis; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and adopted children.

Katie was predeceased by her loving husband Archie Moccasin; her son Stuart McAdam; her great grandson Zayne Gardiner; her parents John and Mary Fly; her mother-in-law Mary Moccasin; her brothers Thomas Fly and Edward Fly; her sisters Sarah Snakeskin, Eliza Sundown and Mary Red Thunder; her in-laws Louisa Moccasin, Eliza Moccasin, Edna Moccasin, Leo Sr. Moccasin; and her special niece Stella (Snakeskin) Moccasin.

A wake for Katie will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Saulteaux Band Hall, Saulteaux First Nation. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Saulteaux Band Hall.

Katie will be laid to rest in Saulteaux North Cemetery, Saulteaux First Nation.

Serving as pallbearers are Raymond Stinson, Mike Awasis, Derek Starblanket, Tyson Poitras, Edwin Thomas, Reginald Moosomin, Neil Moccasin and Nathan Moccasin.
