She was born August 10, 1946 in North Korea to Rev. Ki Suk Kim and In Hee (Tae) Kim. In 1947 the family escaped to South Korea. On December 7, 2002 in Oklahoma City she married Chester Fonner.
Youngae came to the United States in 1976 and earned her citizenship in the early 1980s. She was gifted in music; playing piano, guitar and singing. Youngae enjoyed knitting, beadwork and other crafts. She and Chester enjoyed taking day time road trips to Falls Creek and Luther, OK. She loved to drive and see the Bradford Pears and Forsythia because it was always the sign of spring. Above all she loved her family and animals especially dogs and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Chester of 17 years; siblings: Tae Rim of Wisconsin, Young Rim Kim of South Korea, Shinja Cowan of Norman; 8 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday April 5, 2019 at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, OK. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday April 6th, 2019 at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery Norman, OK. Chaplain James Beckett will officiate.
