Wilbur David Ogburn

He was born May 9, 1946 in Raleigh, NC to Wilbur Ray Ogburn and Anne Geraldine Andrews. On June 13th, 1971 he married Angie Peterman in Moore, OK.

Wilbur proudly served his country with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War with the construction battalion. He was a proud Sooner Football Fan. Wilbur was a very generous, kind hearted man. Southern Gentleman was the best way to describe him; the world needs more Wilbur’s. He enjoyed playing golf, making BBQ but above all he loved his family and going to his grandsons sporting events.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Angie of 47 years; daughter Wendi and husband Chris Farrell, son David Ogburn; grandsons Tristan and Nash Farrell; brother in law: Mitchell Spivey of Willow Spring, NC; sister-in-law: Roberta Peterman of Moore; brother-in-law: Pete Peterman and Ranell Madding of Lexington; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Melissa Ogburn and sister: Treva Spivey.
