He was born December 6, 1936 in Selma, Alabama to Samuel James Williams II and Evelyn Irene Williams. On October 2, 1992 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma he married Sunnie Gail Bates Drumb.
Sam served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a devout Catholic which showed in what a caring, helpful and kind man he was to everyone. His life was filled with acts of kindness for his fellow man. He worked for many years as a manufacturing engineer. He and his wife Sunnie spent many years at their home in Lake Eufaula and loved every minute of it. He enjoyed teaching all of his grandchildren how to water ski. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Sunnie of Norman; daughters: Lezlee Price and husband David of Parkville, MO, Melissa Williams and husband Alan Turransky of Aurora, CO, Tammy Marshall of Norman, Heather Christian and husband Mike of Norman; grandchildren: Amanda Price, Shane Marshall, Erin Price, Anne Price, Summer Marshall, Mackenzie Christian, Emily Munoz, Sophia Munoz, Addyson Christian; sisters: Melva Wilson, Linda S. Taylor-West, Mary Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam Williams, II and Evelyn Willie of Ft. Worth, Texas; and their special Apache Son Jess Stevens.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 7, 2018 at The Chapel of St. Josephs Catholic Church in The Parish Center, 421 E. Acres St. Norman, OK.
