Phil dedicated over 25 years of his career as an Electrical Engineer with Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E), where he made significant contributions to the field. For the last 25 years, he continued his impactful career with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where his expertise and commitment were greatly valued. Additionally, Phil served as a Deputy Sheriff, demonstrating his commitment to serving and protecting his community.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Phil had a rich and fulfilling personal life. His hobbies included amateur piloting and the HAM Radio Club, where he enjoyed connecting with fellow enthusiasts. His amateur radio call sign was KD5UGO. Phil’s interests also involved the Boy Scouts, fostering a sense of adventure and leadership in young minds. He cherished camping trips, family gatherings, and a recent love of train spotting. Phil was also an avid photographer, capturing the beauty of the world around him and the cherished moments with his family.
Phil was preceded in death by his father, Phil Sinnett, his mother, Marie Sinnett, and his loving wife, Carol Sinnett. He leaves behind his three children: Kimberly King and her husband Toby King, Jonathan Sinnett, Philip Sinnett and his wife Amanda Sinnett. Phil was a proud grandfather to five wonderful grandchildren: Austin King, Brandon King and his wife Haleigh King, Owen Sinnett, Eleanor Sinnett, and Rhys Sinnett. His family was his greatest joy, and he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Phil's legacy of love, dedication, and passion will continue to live on through the lives of those he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
A celebration of Phil's life will be held at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., followed by gravesite at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, OK at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Classical KUCO: Oklahoma’s Voice for the Performing Arts in Phil's memory. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16th at the Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
