Norma Lee (Taylor) Davis, 93, of Norman, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord, on October 31, 2023 in Perkins, Oklahoma. Norma was born February 27, 1930 to Dave and Verda (Hill) Taylor in Washington Oklahoma.
Norma lived in Norman for 65 years before moving to Perkins in 2021 to be closer to her daughter, Donna. In her early years she was on a bowling team and loved to bowl. She married the love of her life, Carl Davis, in Washington Oklahoma, on March 14, 1947. They had 55 amazing years together and raised 3 children, until he was called home, on May 13, 2002. Norma loved spending time at Lake Eufaula where she enjoyed time boating with the family. She was involved in the Church of God in Norman. Norma worked 20 years as a physical therapy aide for the JD McCarthy Center working with children. Most of all, Norma loved all her kids and grandkids. She also greatly enjoyed visiting with her neighbor Audrey Moak, and longtime special friend Pauline Phillips and Carolyn Shirley.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Verda Taylor; spouse, Carl Davis; children, Michael Davis and Steven Davis; siblings, Jerry Taylor, Richard Taylor, and Shirley Alexander.
Left to cherish Norma’s memory are her daughter; Donna Brown, and spouse Dwight; grandchildren, Keri Whitten and spouse, Brandon, Kristin Merrill and spouse Kelly, Kevin Brown and spouse Samantha, Chris Davis and spouse Meghan, Lindsay Davis, Bryan Davis, April Meinhart and spouse Krieg, Heather Clifton and spouse Josh, as well as 10 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Redbud Assisted Living Center and Companion Hospice for the wonderful care they showed mom.
A visitation for Norma will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery in Washington, Oklahoma.
