Michael David Hand of Norman was born October 2, 1962 in Norman, OK to Johnny David & Shirlene Kay (Feuerborn) Hand. He passed away on May 22, 2020. He is survived by his daughters Katie Michaell Hand and AhrlaRhose Daison, their mother Rhosemarie Daison, his brother Steve Hand and wife Paula, their son Nathan as well as his uncle Larry Feuerborn and wife Robin and his nephew Nathan Hand. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Michael graduated from Norman High School and was a true Normanite. He knew so many obscure facts about his beloved town that riding across town with him was like taking a class in Norman trivia. He was friends with what seems like almost everyone in town. Michael was the quintessential “good guy” that would literally give a friend in need his last dime. He solved problems that weren’t even his to solve and did so without expecting anything but friendship in return.
Michael was a realtor for over 25 years and worked with the goal of helping everyone have an affordable place to live. He sold lots of houses, managed numerous properties and gained many friends along the way. He was most recently at Coldwell Banker Heart of Oklahoma, but worked in his own brokerages at Pioneer Home Real Estate and SHS Real Estate prior to becoming ill. He found bargains and loved the art of making a deal.
Michael was a devoted father and loved his girls above all else. He was such a proud dad that almost all of his conversations somehow mentioned something great that his girls did. He was also a devoted son. He cared for his mother Shirlene for many years and is surely having a wonderful reunion with his parents, whom he missed terribly.
He loved all things nostalgic and had so many treasures that he wasn’t sure of all that he had. He knew a lot about antiques and memorabilia and was always excited to show off his latest find. He was an artist, a music enthusiast, liked all things automotive, and loved animals.
Michael will be greatly missed. His family is especially grateful to Gloria Draper, Pat Keithley, and Rhosemarie Daison.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.
