She passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her home of 45 years with her family at her bedside. Her daughter Shirley and daughter-in-law Anita never left her alone from the time she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, March 23, 2010. Hospice was called April 12, 2010 and they also gave her loving care.
Mary grew up in the Dibble area and attended Dibble school. She married Delbert Moore and to this union four children were born.
She was employed by Dibble school for a few years. She was had also been employed by Central State Hospital where she retired July 1, 1983 after 24 years.
Mary loved to cook and always had delicious food for her family. Her passion was her flower garden. She had one of the prettiest yards in Norman. She could make everything grow. Her sweet disposition and jolly laughter will certainly be missed by all.
She collected angels, salt and pepper shakes, thimbles and frogs. She loved to crochet and make beautiful doilies, Afghans, and baby blankets for family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her son, Delbert Moore and his wife Gayle of San Pablo, California, her son, Bill Moore of Blanchard, her son-in-law, Dan Neujahr, great-granddaughter, Megan, her parents and her husband.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Shirley Neujahr, Hutchinson, Kansas, son, Jim Moore and wife, Paula, Blanchard, daughter-in-law, Anita Moore, Blanchard; grandchildren, Rodeny Moore, Blanchard, David Moore, Guthrie, Randy Moore, Pauls Valley, Sheri Roof and husband, Josh of Blanchard and several great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Esther Keeler and husband Douglas and Earline Sharp and husband Kay all of Dibble; a host of other family and friends; special friends, Linda Haugen, Betty Schmidt, Shirley Dobbs and Ola Mae Thornton.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Mary 6, 2010 at the Primrose chapel with Berry McConathy officiating. Interment will be at the Dibble Cemetery, under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
