She was born in Ft. Collins Colorado to Folke and Ruth Carlson. She graduated from FCHS and Colorado State University. She moved to Norman, OK in 1972 and married Loren G. Hill in 1983. Mrs. Hill was a program coordinator at the OU Biological Station until her retirement in 1998.
Linda was married to Loren G. Hill for 25 years until his passing. She enjoyed helping others whenever she saw a need and was passionate about her friends, both human and animal. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Her hobbies included doing graphics for her church groups, reading, movies, and watching dance. She had a very strong faith and was the administrative assistant of Norman Christian Women’s Connection, and was also a member of Abundant Life Church in Little Axe.
Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Loren Hill and a sister, Peggy Anderson. She is survived by her sister Diane Carlson, two sons, Kenyon and wife Gina, and Kelton and wife Gina, brother in law Larry Anderson, 3 nieces, 2 great nephews, 1 great niece, and 4 grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate the sweet and generous person she was on July 30 at Primrose Funeral Home at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers Linda requested contributions be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
