He was born in Norman on June 21, 1943 to Emily and Leroy Allen.
Gary met the love of his life and his wife of 59 years, Jane in 4th grade. The couple had two children: Starla and Tony.
Gary worked for Norman as a Director of Code Enforcement until he retired. He served 6 years in the National Guard. When he retired he started his own company, Premiere Building Inspection.
Gary loved his family, he enjoyed going on camping trips with them, and spending time with them. He enjoyed Thunder basketball, OU softball, and OU football.
Gary was a kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Virginia Huddleston and her husband Max Huddleston, and his brother-in-law Sid Calvert.
Left to cherish his precious memory is his wife Jane Allen, his son Tony Allen, his daughter Starla and her husband Phil Peterson, his sister Shirley Calvert, his sister Pam and her husband Gary Linton, his grandsons: Matthew Nipper, Mark Nipper, Joshua Nipper, Joseph Nipper, Cody Allen Hasslet, and his great granddaughters: Serenity Nipper and Eva Nipper, and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
