On July 6th 1955 she married the love of her life Don Shawn. Together they had two daughters Vicki Shawn and Lynn Turner. She was a proud graduate of Oklahoma University with a degree in Business. She was a member of the Hill Top Baptist Church. Darlene was a proud member of several lineage societies including Daughters of the America Revolution and Colonial Dames. Darlene enjoyed researching genealogy on her family lines and sharing her knowledge and love of genealogy with others.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, brother Billy Scott, her loving husband Don and daughter Vicki. She leaves behind her Sister Donna Rasberry of Emerson Arkansas, daughter Lynn Turner of Norman Oklahoma, Grandson Christopher Albarado of Sulphur Louisiana, Granddaughter Rachael Albarado of San Angelo Texas, Stephanie Taylor of Banks Alabama and Great Grandson Nathan Taylor of Banks Alabama.
Visitation will be held at Primrose Funeral Home Sunday December 20, 2020 from 1pm to 4pm. Funeral services will be held at Hill Top Baptist Church 11710 E Stella Rd. Norman Ok. 2pm Monday December 21, 2020.
