Aubrey was born on March 13, 1987, in Modesto, California, to William and Leslie Coker. She grew up in Modesto, attending Modesto Christian High School and graduating from Downey High School. In 2007, Aubrey moved to Norman, where she worked in food service.
Aubrey was passionate about her family. She loved spending time with her children in the sunshine, enjoying breakfast in bed prepared by them, and shopping. She delighted in being goofy with her kids, mom, and friends, often playing the "would you rather" game. Aubrey was full of compassion, spirituality, love, and dedication. She will be remembered as vibrant, positive, kind, and funny, always there to help, and her passion for cooking. Despite many obstacles, she never gave up and loved working with others and creating wonderful food. She cherished her family and all her past pets. Her favorite color was red, and she loved listening to Christian music and oldies, with some of her favorite songs being "Close to You" by the Carpenters, "Ocean Eyes," and "Whatever It Takes." She served God and attended Victory Family Church in Norman.
Aubrey's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Evan Melancon, Alyssa Coker, Chloe O'Day, and Spencer "Bryce" O'Day, all of Norman; her parents, William and Leslie Coker of Norman; her brothers, James "Jared" Norton and his wife Abby of Kansas, and William A. Coker of California; one niece and three nephews, along with many other family members and friends. Aubrey was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ginger Rock and Dorothy Coker; her great-grandmother, Marie Loftis; her cherished pets, Buddy, Missy, Mister, Jojo, Skippy, and Sasha.
The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone for their kind words and prayers during this difficult time.
